This is a round-up of last week's data insights into recent film and TV piracy.

Marvel's TV series She-Hulk: Attorney At Law was the 3rd most pirated TV show worldwide on Oct 5th and was the 5th most popular title with piracy audiences in August despite only being released legally on August 18th.

During the theatrical window of Thor: Love and Thunder when only lower-quality cam-rip versions were available, unlicensed streaming accounted for 89% and P2P/torrents 11% of piracy. When the HD version leaked at the end of September, piracy via P2P/torrents increased to 20%, indicating that more people wanted to download and own the HD version.

After Ever Happy, the fourth film in the After series, was in the top 10 of most pirated films worldwide on Oct 4th. Piracy demand for the movie was seen most from the USA, UK and India. MUSO measured the largest one day spike in piracy on September 27th, the day it was digitally released.

Since its release in May, Top Gun: Maverick has consistently been in the Top 10 most pirated films worldwide. 50% of piracy to date has happened since August when it was released on VoD and Blu-Ray.

The 3rd Season of Apple TV’s See was the 6th most popular TV Show across the P2P/torrent network between 22nd and 28th September. At the same time, MUSO also measured an increase in demand for the first 2 seasons.

Bullet Train, starring Brad Pitt and Joey King was at number 7 in the global piracy film chart for August. The digital release on September 27th, led to a second surge in piracy demand. Over the 7 days between 22nd and 28th September, it was the most popular film on P2P/torrent networks.

In its first week of release, Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, was the 8th most popular TV show downloaded via the P2P/torrent network worldwide. The highest demand came from the USA with a 27% share of global piracy. Spain was responsible for 12% of illegal downloads.

Prey, the latest instalment in the Predator film franchise, was the 5th most pirated film worldwide at the end of September. Piracy was highest in the USA, Turkey, Thailand, Germany and Romania. In Germany, piracy was double the global average and in Romania piracy was four-times the global average.
